No tiene alas, pero el álbum debut de ISIUS suena a viaje emocional. “Songs from Everywhere” (Ernie Records, 2019), debut de la banda gallega que veía la luz el pasado viernes 1 de marzo a través de Ernie, tras dos adelantos previos (los singles “Moving On” y “The Hollow Side”), es una crónica por los últimos años de la vida compartida de los componentes del proyecto.

José Viqueira (ex miembro de Free Serena, grupo cuyo primer material supuso también la primera referencia discográfica de Ernie en el año 2000) y Nuria Moreu narran sus experiencias vitales propiciadas por los cambios de ciudad, ambientes y esferas que han experimentado. Y lo hacen con un cuidado repertorio que recuerda los mejores años del rock alternativo americano de autor de los años ’90 y primeros 2000, con ecos a bandas como Death Cab for Cutie, Nada Surf, The Weakerthans, Pedro The Lion o Lambchop.

Esta suerte de “mapa sonoro” refleja las vivencias de la pareja entre acordes y versos, homenajendo el paso de la pareja por Madrid (“The Hollow Side”, “GWG”, “Chasing Time”), Holanda (“Moving On”, “De Pijp”) y el regreso a su Galicia natal con el nacimiento de su hija, a la que dedican la última canción del disco, “Ana’s Lullaby”.

Bajo la producción de Paco Loco a finales de 2018, cuando se instalaron en el estudio del productor en Cádiz, y con la batería de Rafa Camisón y la participación de numerosos músicos que pasaron por la casa durante la grabación, “Songs from Everywhere” tomó forma como el primer álbum de ISIUS.

En directo, que ya tiene confirmada su primera fecha de presentación en Vigo el próximo 12 de abril, el proyecto se articula sobre el escenario con Eduardo Romero (bajo), Carlos Gil (guitarra) y Alberto Iglesias (batería).
